Privacy Policy
Cookforge is a meal-planning app. You do not need an account to use it. Your meal plans, shopping lists, favourites and preferences are stored on your device only — we cannot see them and they are not uploaded to us.
What we collect

We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, precise location, or the contents of your meal plans and shopping lists. We do not use advertising identifiers and we do not show ads.
What stays on your device
Meal plans, shopping lists (including items you add yourself), pantry contents, favourites, dietary preferences, allergen settings and language choice are stored locally using the operating system's standard app storage. Deleting the app deletes all of it. There is no cloud backup and no sync between devices.
Analytics in detail
We use PostHog to understand aggregate usage. Events are tied to a randomly generated identifier that is not linked to your identity and is reset if you delete and reinstall the app. We tag each event with an environment label so that our own testing and Apple's review traffic can be excluded from the numbers.
Purchases
Subscriptions are sold and processed by Apple. We never see your payment details. RevenueCat receives a purchase receipt and a random app-user identifier so it can tell the app whether Cookforge Pro is active. See RevenueCat's privacy policy and Apple's privacy policy.
Children
Cookforge is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Your rights
Because we hold no account and no personal identifiers, there is normally nothing for us to look up, export or delete. If you believe we hold data about you, or you want your analytics identifier excluded, email us and we will act on it within 30 days. To remove everything held on your device, delete the app.
Data retention
Aggregate analytics events are retained for up to 12 months and then deleted. Purchase records are retained for as long as Apple and our accountants require.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will update the date above and note the change in the app's release notes.
